It is not possible to extend a tourist Kazakh visa under normal conditions. Although, in certain extreme cases where you can show that you have a case of a Force Majeure, you may apply for an extension. These include humanitarian reasons, medical reasons, or other factors that prevent you from returning to your home country.
After expiring the tourist permit, you cannot stay back in the country any longer. You are expected to leave the country on or before the date of expiry. Staying back after this period is considered as an offence. You will be asked to pay hefty fines and even be deported.
Being valid for only a maximum of 90 days, there are no medical requirements for the tourist visa. However, longer stay visas may require you to get a medical test report. Although, it is suggested that you get a medical check-up done before travelling to a new country.
No, it is strictly not possible or allowed to convert the tourist permit into a work permit. As per the regulations, you must not seek work or engage in work during your stay. If you do require to work, you must return to your home country and apply for a work visa.
As per the embassy requirements, there is no fixed amount that is required for you to apply for the tourist permit. In fact, the embassy does not demand any financial proof. However, to ensure that you do not face difficulties during your stay, it is suggested that you possess enough funds to support your stay in the country.
