Singapore tourist visa applications from India are processed electronically, generally within 3–5 working days, although some take longer. Indian ordinary passport holders need the visa before travelling for a holiday or a short visit to family and friends.
Your holiday arrangements determine what supporting information to prepare. Staying with relatives, travelling with children or having someone sponsor the trip each needs a clear explanation in your application. Under the published Mumbai and New Delhi schedules, Singapore visa application charges total ₹3,400 per person:

If you are staying with relatives or friends, provide the actual address and contact details. Form 14A allows you to declare a hotel, relative’s home, friend’s home or another accommodation arrangement.
Do not purchase flight tickets solely to start the visa application. Singapore’s New Delhi mission states that applicants are not required to buy tickets before applying. Establish what itinerary or reservation evidence is needed before making non-refundable payments.

Financial Evidence for Self-Funded and Sponsored Trips
Your financial information should explain how the holiday’s costs will be covered.
For a self-funded trip, organise the requested financial records and identify the expenses already paid and those still outstanding.
For a sponsored trip, identify who is paying, their relationship to you and which expenses they will cover. Prepare supporting financial or relationship evidence where requested.
If costs are shared, explain the arrangement clearly—for example, you may pay for flights while a relative provides accommodation.
Official guidance requires sufficient funds for the stay rather than specifying a fixed INR amount for every tourist. A particular balance does not guarantee approval.
How to Apply for a Singapore Tourist Visa from India
Applications follow Singapore’s prescribed submission arrangements. An eligible local contact in Singapore can also submit through ICA’s online service.
Confirm the holiday arrangements. Identify your dates, accommodation, travellers and funding.
Prepare the applicable checklist. Complete Form 14A and arrange your passport copy, photograph and supporting evidence.
Review the file. Check for missing information, unclear copies and conflicting names or dates.
Confirm the charges and document-handling arrangements. Establish the total payable and whether originals must be presented for verification.
Obtain the submission details. Keep the application reference number and actual submission date.
Check the approved e-Visa. Review your personal details, validity and permitted entries before travelling.

Singapore Tourist Visa Processing Time and When to Apply
Published guidance from Singapore’s missions in India is generally 3–5 working days, excluding the submission day, weekends and public holidays. Some applications take longer.
ICA advises applying within 30 days before arrival. As a practical preparation buffer, aim to have your complete documents ready around two to three weeks before departure. Allow additional preparation time when collecting documents for several travellers.
The processing estimate applies after submission. It does not include the time spent collecting documents or correcting an incomplete file.
If departure is close, establish whether the application has been lodged and whether anything remains outstanding before committing to further non-refundable arrangements. A near travel date does not guarantee an earlier decision.
Singapore Tourist Visa Validity and Permitted Stay
Your visa and your permitted stay serve different purposes:
The e-Visa shows when it may be used and the entries permitted.
The electronic Visit Pass, or e-Pass, records the stay granted after immigration clearance.
Check the e-Pass for your last permitted day in Singapore. A visa valid for several months does not allow you to remain continuously for that entire period.
Leaving and Re-entering Singapore During Your Holiday
For a Singapore–Malaysia–Singapore itinerary, check these before booking the onward leg:
Your visa allows the additional entry.
It remains valid on the intended return date.
You meet the other destination’s entry requirements.
A single-journey visa cannot be reused after leaving Singapore. Even with a valid multiple-journey visa, re-entry remains subject to immigration clearance.
SG Arrival Card and Documents to Carry
Submit the SG Arrival Card within three days, including arrival day, through the official ICA service or MyICA app. Official submission is free, and the arrival card does not replace your visa.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply for a Singapore tourist visa without an agent?
No. Indian nationals cannot apply directly to ICA for a tourist visa. You must go through an authorised visa agent (such as VFS Global, IVS, or a registered travel agent) or have a Singapore-based local sponsor who holds a SingPass and submits the application via the ICA e-Service portal using Form V39A.
How long does the Singapore eVisa take to process?
Standard processing takes 3-5 working days from the date your agent submits the application. During peak seasons (Diwali, Christmas, summer holidays), processing can extend to 7-10 working days. Applications submitted through a local sponsor (V39A) are sometimes processed faster.
Is the fee refundable if refused?
No. The SGD 30 visa fee is non-refundable even if your application is refused. The agent service fee is also non-refundable as it covers document processing and submission. No. Singapore’s New Delhi mission states that applicants do not need to purchase flight tickets before applying. Prepare your intended travel dates and itinerary, and establish what reservation evidence is needed before paying for non-refundable tickets.
How much bank balance is required for a Singapore tourist visa?
Official guidance requires sufficient funds for your stay rather than specifying a fixed INR amount. Your financial evidence should explain how accommodation, transport and daily expenses will be covered, including any costs paid by a sponsor. A particular balance does not guarantee approval.
Is Singapore expensive for Indian tourists?

Is a hotel booking compulsory if I am staying with relatives?
Form 14A allows you to declare accommodation with relatives or friends. Provide your actual accommodation address and contact details. Prepare any host information or Letter of Introduction required for your application; do not submit a hotel booking that misrepresents where you will stay.
Do children and infants need separate Singapore visas?
Children and infants holding ordinary Indian passports generally need their own visas and individually issued passports. Form 14A also asks for travelling-companion details for applicants aged 12 or below, where applicable. Additional parental or relationship documents depend on the family’s circumstances and submission requirements.
Can I visit Malaysia and return to Singapore on the same visa?
Check the entries permitted on your visa and whether it remains valid for your return. A single-journey visa cannot be reused after leaving Singapore. A valid multiple-journey visa may support another entry, subject to immigration clearance. Malaysia’s entry requirements apply separately.
Can I stay in Singapore if my visa expires during my holiday?
Yes, provided you entered while the visa was valid and remain within the stay granted on your e-Pass. Your entry visa’s expiry date and your permitted last day in Singapore are different. Check the e-Pass and leave by its permitted date unless an extension is approved.
