The time taken to process the business permit depends on the number of entries, the volume of applications at the embassy, the type of business visa, as well as on the authenticity of your documents. Normally, they are processed within 5 working days. However, in certain cases, this may take longer. As a result, ensure that you apply well in advance.
The fees for the process depends mainly on the number of entries. It can also vary slightly depending on the foreign exchange rates as the fees as per the embassy is mentioned in USD. Once you have submitted your application, the embassy will begin processing it. During this period, you cannot modify or withdraw the application. As a result, ensure that you fill in the application with great care. Once the visa has been processed, you can collect your passport from the embassy directly during the allocated hours (11:30 am to 01:00 pm) on the embassy working days.
Since the business visa application process is done offline, there is no online method to track it. However, you may contact the embassy via email to know the status. You can also contact your travel agency to have them check the status for you.

At the border
It is not possible to extend a business Kazakh visa under any normal conditions. Although, in certain extreme cases where you can show that you have a case of a Force Majeure, you may apply for an extension. These include humanitarian reasons, medical reasons, or other factors that prevent you from returning to your home country.
After expiring the business permit, you cannot stay back in the country any longer. You are expected to leave the country on or before the date of expiry. Staying back after this period is considered as an offence. You will be asked to pay hefty fines and even be deported.
Being valid for only a maximum of 90 days, there are no medical requirements for the business visa. However, longer stay visas may require you to get a medical test report. Although, it is suggested that you get a medical check-up done before travelling to a new country.
No, it is strictly not possible or allowed to convert the business permit into a work permit. As per the regulations, you must not seek work or engage in work during your stay. If you do require to work, you must return to your home country and apply for a work visa.
As per the embassy requirements, there is no fixed amount that is required for you to apply for the business permit. In fact, the embassy does not demand any financial proof. However, to ensure that you do not face difficulties during your stay, it is suggested that you possess enough funds to support your stay in the country such as food, accommodation, travel, etc.
The business visas are issued in a short time. In fact, the processing time is only about 5 working days. As a result, you can apply up to 5 days before your travel date. However, it is suggested to keep an additional 2 days buffer in order to accommodate the back and forth travel to the embassy. Although, you are suggested to apply about 10 days in advance.
