You can extend the tourist visa by simply visiting the Department of Migration at the airport and applying for an extension. You will be required to pay a fee depending on the duration of stay. Normally, you can extend the permit up to 60 days. If you do not do this, you will be required to pay surcharges during departure.
If your tourist visa has expired, you will not be able to stay back any longer. You must apply for an extension before your permit expires. Failure to do so can lead to hefty charges for each day you stay. In certain cases, you may even be deported.
