You can apply it through your relative/friend (must possess SingPass) in Singapore, through a strategic partner in Singapore, or through one of the authorized visa agents in India. 

Before starting the application, you must first check that you are eligible to apply for the visitor permit. After that, you can proceed to make the application as follows - 

  1. Visit the website of the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore and fill in the application form (Form 14A).
  2. You can type it, or it can be filled in by hand. 
  3. Visit one of the authorized visa agents. 
  4. Submit the application to them, along with the necessary fees and documents. 
  5. The agency will then make the application at the respective mission.
  6. In some cases, you will be required to attend a visa interview at the Singapore High Commission or Consulates.

Ensure that you provide only genuine documents and fill-in correct information. Providing false information or fake documents can lead to visa rejection.

Processing Time for Singapore Visit Visa

However, the High Commission expects that you apply for the visa at least 1 month prior to your date of intended travel.

After Submission

Upon successfully receiving your visit permit, you must keep in mind the following few points to ensure that you have a hassle-free journey -

Before you travel - 

  • Note the validity, stay duration, and the number of entries mentioned on your visa. You must not stay in the country beyond this period. 
  • Carry all your travel documents before you travel to the country. 

At the border

  • You must show your passport with the visa to the immigration officer at the port of entry. Your entry stamp will be placed on the passport.
  • You may be asked to show the copy of the other documents submitted as part of your application. 
  • You may be asked about the basic details of your visit. This may include details about your family members/details. Ensure that you answer honestly and without any hesitance.
