Considering this, the central government had announced the new guidelines for Covid-19 vaccination, As per the new guidelines, those who are traveling abroad for education, jobs, and business purpose will have to link their passport number to their vaccination certificates.
Individuals can add their passport details through the CoWIN website. Here are the steps to add passport details in Covid vaccination certificates through CoWIN.
- Visit the CoWIN website and Login with your registered mobile number.
- Click on the “Raise an Issue” button.
- Under the drop down, click on the “Add Passport Details” option.
- Then, add the required details, including the name and correct passport number.
- Submit the details and you should get a confirmation message.
- Then download the certificate again. Your passport number should now reflect in the new certificate.
*It may take some time to reflect in some cases and In case, the name on the vaccine certificate and passport does not match, you can request for name correction as well.
To correct personal details online via CoWIN,
- Visit the CoWIN website and Login with your registered mobile number.
- Click on the “Raise an Issue” button.
- Under the drop down, click on the “Correction in certificate” option.
- Then, correct the required details and Submit
*Please keep in mind that your personal details can be modified only once. So, make sure you enter the correct details this time because you won't be able to correct these errors again.
